    • End users - Registered users will (optionally) get regular updates on  news, route updates, site upgrades and so on. You will also gain full access to all forums and earn blogging rights.
    • Transport Providers - Add your company and transportation routes to our database, and manage your live account.
    • Seasoned travellers - As power users, you will be able to write articles, provide expert responses on our forms, and update route information directly into the database.

  2. What are the different account types?
    • Basic Account - This is a free account, allowing you to list your company, contact details and routes.
    • Managed Account - RouteEarth will upload your routes, company logo and images , and do a free update to the routes database every 2 months.

  3. How are the various modes of transportation classified?

      Between In & Around
Scheduled Flights, Ferries, Trains, Coach Local buses & trains, tour operators
Ad-Hoc Private charter Taxis, Private Tours

  4. Why can't I find the timetables of transport providers on RouteEarth?
RouteEarth stores the destinations (and intermediate stops, if any) of the various operators, not the timetables. Where these can be found online, RouteEarth provides a hyperlink to the operators original online timetable.

  5. Why aren't the routes of an operator I know of listed on RouteEarth?
We endeavour to list as many carriers as possible, and rely on feedback from the public (and operators themselves) to help populate and maintain our database. Please feel free to contact us using the email address or feedback form, and we will certainly endeavour to list the routes of the provider that you cite.

  6. So what's not listed on Route Earth?
On Route Earth you will find all transportation modes related to the movement of people and operated by a service provider - so passenger airlines, railways, ships, buses etc qualify. You won't find any listings related to the transportation of materials, e.g. couriers, freight companies, cargo liners, bulk haulers etc.

  7. I would like to submit a travel article for publication on RouteEarth.
We welcome well-written travel experiences to be published on RouteEarth. Simply mail us your article, together with relevant pictures and we will gladly publish your article.

  8. Why can I not post a new thread in the online forums?
Only registered users may post a new thread on Route Earth - make sure you have logged on to the site or register a new account with us. Remember, registration is free and you may post as many topics as you like.

For Travellers
  1. Can I book my travel through RouteEarth?
The current version of our site does not allow you to do any online booking of the routes presented; you may utilise the hyperlinks to book these directly with the operator.

  2. Can I plot my route on a map?
At present we only offer text-based results showing carriers between endpoints; graphical depictions will be a feature of our late 2009 release.

  3. How do I search for all routes between a city and all major cities of another country?
Use the "Search Between" page, and in the destination field, specify only the country. The search engine will return the top 5 cities of the destination country.

For Transport & Tour Operators
  1. How do I list my company onto RouteEarth?
